“Loving Vincent” Movie

“Loving Vincent” is the world’s first feature film painted in oil, dedicated to the life and death of Vincent van Gogh. Over 65,000 frames were painted to create the film. The world premiere took place in 2017 at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The film won over 20 festival awards and was nominated for Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA. Tetyana and Kateryna created 3 minutes of animation for the film, which amounts to approximately 2,160 painted frames. Below are fragments of their work.
