“The Peasants” Movie

“The Peasants” is the second project from the creators of the world’s first feature film painted in oils, “Loving Vincent.” The film’s narrative is based on Władysław Reymont’s novel “The Peasants,” which won the Nobel Prize in Literature. Tetyana and Kateryna participate in the project as animators, with Kateryna serving as painting animation supervisor. During her work on the project, Tetyana became one of the studio’s leading animators. Directors and producers: DK Welchman and Hugh Welchman (BREAKTHRU FILMS Studio). The film’s visual concept is inspired by the works of artists from the “Young Poland” movement of the late 19th century. In 2023, the film represented Poland in the Academy Award nomination for “Best International Feature Film.”
